We have organized for you a splendid visit of the coast of Palermo starting from Tourist port of the Cala up to Mondello.
DESCRIPTION
Starting from the Cala, the first village we meet is Acquasanta which takes its name from a source considered to be medicinal for some diseases. The village with its marina welcomes Villa Igiea, a neo-Gothic style structure built at the end of the 19th century. Villa Igiea is a historic 5-star superior hotel among the most popular on the island. Followed by the Grotta Regina, a favorite place for bathing by Queen Maria Carolina. Continuing, a fine sandy beach called Arenella, a fishing village that developed around the Tonnara Florio during the 19th century, while following along we skirt the seaside village of Vergine Maria settled around the Tonnara Bordonaro of the sixteenth century. And here we are in Addaura, an area with the oldest history of Palermo, dating back to the Palaeolithic period with the homonymous cave located on the north-eastern side of the rocky ridge of Monte Pellegrino. We arrived in Mondello, one of the most coveted beaches in Sicily, with its Art Nouveau villas, characterized by a sandy gulf with tropical colors. The landscape is influenced by the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve and the Monte Pellegrino Reserve, defined by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe as “the most beautiful promontory in the world”. with the Ancient Bathing Establishment of Mondello in the center of the Gulf, a unique building that represents one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau architectural works in Europe.
The excursion lasts 3 hours with departure from the Cala at 9/12 – 13/16.
A welcome cocktail and an aperitif will be offered on board
